Sageuk fans, the juicy content continues! Streaming platform Viki released a new trailer for the new kdrama The First Night with the Duke on its global Youtube channel on Friday.
This romantic historical comedy premieres June 11, exclusively on Viki.
Summary
Based on the web novel that shares its name, The First Night with the Duke depicts a historical romance drama following a young girl whose soul transfers into the body of a character within a romance novel.
Starring Girls’ Generation Seohyun and 2PM Taecyon, the new teaser poster showed the two actors lost in each other’s eyes under a twilight sky.

I love the isekai genre in anime! Idc what anyone says Inuyasha is an isekai.
Anyways… The First Night with the Duke reminds me so much of the web novel How Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion! Although these South Korean webtoons were published nearly four years apart, I’m extremely thrilled to see this brought to life as a live-action show.
After wrapping up Dear Hongrang, I hoped we would not need to wait too long for another sageuk, and it seems as though this wish has been granted.
